Interspersed with his construction work, Clark helped develop a video conferencing company to assist the Central Command to better accomplish their mission of command and control of their forces around the world. Clark was instrumental in gathering the group of experts that worked with NSA, CentCom and the vendors of this highly sophisticated equipment to successfully complete this requirement.
Clark was a president of the largest region of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) covering the area that housed the 82nd Airborne Division, the Special Operations Command and the Infantry and Ranger Schools. In addition to his professional associations, Clark has focused his volunteer work with a commitment to helping juveniles at risk. He worked as a mentor to several young men and worked on the board that directed the mentoring work for the Dallas Juvenile Justice Center.
Clark received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He is a graduate of Defense Language Institute specializing in the Russian Language. He graduated from the Foreign Areas Specialist Training after two years of Russian area studies.
Clark spent twenty years in the U.S. Army primarily as an Intelligence Officer targeted against the Soviet Union. He had tours of duty in the National Security Agency, the United States Military Liaison Mission (USMLM) working in East Germany and he served a tour of duty in Vietnam where he received a Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars, one of which was for heroism in ground combat. His other commendations include several Army Commendation Medals and the Legion of Merit.
Clark is married to Harriette, his wife of fifty years. He has three sons and two grandchildren
